A Preprocessing Method for DOA Estimation with Centrosymmetric Circular Array

Subspace based DOA estimation with a circular array involves complex computations,which results in high hardware implementation complexity.To solve this problem,a preprocessing method based on centrosymmetric circular array is proposed.Exploiting the centrosymmetry,this method makes the covariance matrix and steering vectors real-valued,thus the hardware implementation complexity is significantly reduced;furthermore,the MUSIC algorithm following the preprocessing method performs better than the conventional MUSIC.
