QDDS signal generator design based on CORDIC algorithm

In this paper,a design method of quadrature direct digital synthesizer(QDDS) based on Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer(CORDIC) algorithm is proposed.The design was implemented by VHDL described hardware circuit and CycloneⅡ FPGA developing platform.The circuit was optimized and synthesized by Synplify Pro and simulated by Modelsim SE.The results indicate that the circuit of proposed QDDS works at high speed with small scale,which is superior to that designed by the common means of look-up tables.
