Main Disasters in Agricultural Production in Hetao Irrigated Areas and its Countermeasures

Based on analyzing the occurrences and effects of the main disasters such as springtide,low temperature and cold injury,salinization and frost to grain and oil crops and sugar beet,the countermeasures of disaster reduction such as early sowing of wheat,sprout sowing of maize,irrigating to reduce salinization and deep sowing on ditch-ridging mulched with plastic film,were put forward.The extension and application of these measures had gained a significant benefit in the crop production.
