Haitao Wu · Modern Electronics Technique · 2007
This paper presents a new scheme for a digital phase shift signal generator which implementing Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer(DDS)using AVR single chip and FPGA.The frequency and the phase of generator displayed on LCD screen can be changed through the keyboard. The output mode can be set to arbitrary frequency and step value. The DDS implemented by FPGA is more flexible than the special DDS IC.It can generate arbitrary waveforms and it has high frequency resolution, fast conversion rate, good stability, high precision. Its frequency, phase and amplitude are program-controlled.Furthermore,it can be transplanted to other systems as an IP core.
