The History, Current State and Tendency of International Energy Education Development

The rise of international energy education has its historical inevitability. The contradiction between the growing energy demand and energy supply is very critical. The international society has experienced two oil crises, and has tasted the bitterness of environmental pollution as a result of energy use in the process of modernization. This makes the international society to recognize the importance of education in enhancing people's energy awareness. Since the 1970s, the international energy education development has been on the rise, presenting some common characteristics and the tendency. Its experience is useful to constructing conservation-oriented society in our country.
