Data Processing and Analyzing System for Bus IC Card Based on GIS

With using of Traffic IC Card substantially, it is possible to get the transit passenger flow information which reflects the traffic operation situation accurately. There is plenty of usefully information contained potentially in the bus database, and that can provide foundation for optimizing transportation network and traffic management. This paper is one example about Beijing. With using the SQL Server 2000 as databases software and ESRI ArcSDE, the system of the traffic IC Card processing and analyzing the database has been developed on VC++ 2005 development platform, which can not only achieve general function of geographic information system (GIS), but also improve to deal with the relationship of transiting between the bus and subway on GIS. Then, it becomes possible to realize the section of passenger flow, and the speed of the whole network.
