Reductive inference is a kind of probability inference, which widely used in judicial activities. It is a kind of inference that people get hypothesis from evidence. Reductive inference roots in background knowledge which is mastered but omitted by people. In fact, the relationship of evidence support between premises and conclusion of reductive inference is able to depicted by the probability theory. Reductive inference is classified into two categories and five modes.
