With the rapid development of multimedia technology, DVR, which is integrated with TV, VOD, digital recording, DVD play and network sharing, etc, is becoming a new research focus. Aiming at the features of storage and access to DVR files, we have designed a file system for the storage of DVR multimedia files. And in order to support the sharing of network files, we combine the file system with TCP/IP and SMB protocols, and design the DVR Network File System. In this paper, we particularly introduce the design of the file system, and perform the corresponding tests and performance analysis.
