SCM Control System Design of BIW Welding Pneumatic Clamps

Zhang Wen-min · Rejiagong gongyi · 2014

In BIW welding operation, pneumatic clamps were widely used due to clean, simple operation and low cost advantages. However, the number of solder joints can not meet the regulations due to negligence or misuse. To ensure the number of solder joints and improve the quality of welding, the pneumatic clamp must be transformed into electrically controlled one. The number of solder joints are recorded by SCM and displayed by digital tube. When the number of solder joints do not achieve the expected value, the microcontrollers made by pneumatic clamps can not be opened in the welding process by controlling 5/2-way valve. When the number of solder joints reaches the expected value, the pneumatic clamps can be opened by pushing button switch to release the workpiece for next operation.
