Design and Implementation of the Real - Time Tidal Level Forecasting System for Nanjing Tidal Station

In this paper, the principles that developing a real - time tidal level forecasting system were firstly elaborated. Following those principles, the real - time tidal level forecasting system for Nanjing tidal station was developed. Systematic architecture,function and the forecasting method as well as systematic work process have been introduced in detail. Talced the forecasting for Nanjing tidal station in July 2004 as the sample, the whole process of this system has been represented. Design and implementation of the system offered successful experience to develop similar tidal level forecasting system.
