Study on improvement and simulation of TCP on satellite link

To improve performance of TCP on a satellite link,two aspects of modification are made based on the traditional TCP: 1)enlarging initial window of the slow start;2)modifying the window scale algorithm.Performance of the improved TCP on a satellite link is studied detailedly by computer simulation.Simulation results showed that throughput of the improved TCP is dramatically heightened and more excellent performance is exhibited in contrast to the traditional TCP.
