Operation analysis of field-loss protection when reverse-power starts in the generator

This paper presents the basic principles of UL-P type and impedance-type field-loss protection, and analyzes the operation of field-loss protection when the reverse-power starts in the generator. According to all kinds of tripping schemes of the UL-P type field-loss protection, this paper discusses the problems should be resolved on the field-loss protection when the reverse-power starts in the generator.
