Traditional electronic documents are static but not interactive or manipulative, compares to these traditional documents, smart documents are dynamic, which not only can provide information to readers, but also can respond to manipulation required by readers. Based on research made on smart documents, describes a technical structure and realization for smart documents based on Office 2003.
