Analysis of Output Efficiency of Science Paper in Universities and R&D Institutions Based on the SFA

This paper conducts an analysis of the output efficiency of science papers in universities and RD institutions in China between 2000-2010by the stochastic frontier approach of translog production function.The empirical research shows that:the technical efficiency is volatile between different areas;it is higher in the eastern and central regions than in the West and the tendency remains unchanged.The proportion of government funds out of funds raising has a positive influence on technical efficiency,while the corporate funds have a negative impact on it.The growth rate of total factor productivity is mainly due to the technical progress rate,which has declined from 2003.
