A Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm Applied for H.264/AVC

A new motion estimation algorithm was proposed,which has been proposed to solve the problem about the multiple block mode of interframe prediction in the video coding international standard H.264/AVC.The algorithm includes unsymmetrical diamond grading integer pixel search(UDiamondGS) and hierarchical vector biased fractional pixel search(HVBFPS).The algorithm keeps the rate distortion property of encoder,and the coding speed is 16～20 times faster.
