Communication performance with TCP protocol decreases seriously in wireless multihop networks. To investigate the interactive performance of TCP and backoff algorithms, the paper implemented five backoff algorithms with simulator.Simulation results show that the backoff algorithms have strong effect on the TCP packet loss ratio and the throughput performance.
