On Regular Semigroups With a Quasi-ideal Regular *-transversal

In this paper a new concept of regular *-transversal in a regular semigroup is introduced. An example is given to show that it is different from that of orthodox transversal and that the class of regular semigroups with a quasi-ideal regular *-transversal is a proper generalization of both of the class of regular semigroups with a quasi-ideal inverse transversal and the class of regular *-semigroups. Finally, a construction of regular semigroups with a quasi-ideal regular *-transversal is described.
