A novel method of the implementation of two-way authentication and software feature protection by DS2432 is pre- sented.At first,the paper analyzes the base principle of algorithm,and then introduces the design of a novel secure authentica- tion by using worldwide recognized SHA-1 algorithm in 1-Wire DS2432 net.Its inquiry and response authentication processes are analyzed.The system secret key can be stored in secure memory instead of in program code.The system can be extended easily, the data security of DS2432 can even be modified by remote configuration,and the secure authentication at low cost is imple- mented in the system.
