The basic principle of high gravity technology and its features and history are outlined.And by taking an example,the industrial applications of the high gravity technology in terms of separation and reaction,among others are demonstrated.It is shown by 30 years of development and application achievements that the high gravity technology is a very promising and very robust process enhancement technology.It may become one of the pillar technologies of chemical engineering in the 21st century.
