Research on Detection Unit Scheme in Network Congestion Control

In order to increase the performance of TCP(Transport Control Protocol) in networks with long propagation delay and high link error rates,detection unit scheme,an active and self_adaptive scheme,has been involved in many implementations for TCP improvement.This paper gives a minute discussion about the concept and application of detection unit scheme and implements it in NS.Both the theoretic analysis and simulation experiments show that it will greatly improve the throughput after introducing detction unit scheme in long_propagation_delay and high_link_error_rate network.
