An OWL DL-Based Modeling for the Discipline Knowledge Ontology
Wang Hai-lin · Computer Technology and Development · 2010
The discipline knowledge modeling is a complicated engineering. The major problems at present are that the knowledge base does not be shared and reused and hardly fulfilling inference and retrieval at the semantic level. As a description tool of conceptual models on describing concepts and relations among concepts on the semantic and knowledge levels, ontology has been applied to the areas such as the Semantic Web,Natural Language Processing,Resource Sharing and Reuse. At same time,it is also popular by model makers of the discipline knowledge. This paper takes the coursePrinciples of Database Systems as an example to introduce in detail a meta-model of the course knowledge and an OWL DL-based ontology modeling method for the course knowledge. Finally,a part of the OWL DLbased knowledge ontology is given as a reference for other researchers in this area.
