For eliminating graphic flicker and acquiring TV display of image from VGA to TV video conversion, the mechanisms of graphic flicker and resolution conversion are analyzed.A two-dimensional structure of flicker-free filter and scaler circuit is implemented by using half-band filtering, interpolation and iteration algorithms. The problem of graphic resolution degradation caused by flicker-free filtering is efficiently resolved with the two-dimensional structure. The two-dimensional scaler also makes variable VGA resolutions display on different TV screens.Meanwhile, logic resources are reduced and chip area is greatly saved. The whole circuit is fabricated in CSMC 0.5μm CMOS process and its area is about 1.75mm×2.86mm.The function of the circuit is proved to be true by testing the circuit.
