Features of Vibration Signal of Transformer Based on the Wavelet Packet Energy Entropy

In this paper,the wavelet packet is used to decompose the vibration signal of the transformer into different frequency bands,and then the energy entropy of each band is calculated.The entropy value(WP-EE)worked out is then used for the fault diagnosis of transformer windings.The results of experiments show that this method can highlight the characteristic information of faults in windings,therefore it lays a solid foundation in detectingthe incipient faults in windings.
