Software Testability Evaluation

Software testability is one of an important factor in software evaluation. At first, software failure mechanism and some kinds of software testability analysis methods is introduced, then a software testability analysis method based on PIE is discussed in this paper. In order to use this method successfully, the way to analyze failure execution probability based on control flow graphic, the data state infection probability and the propagation probability based on a variable's define-use is given. By using this method, the structure of program and software failure mechanism is fully considered.
