Personalization Based on Web Mining

Traditional Web personalization techniques such as collaborative Filtering and content-based filtering have some limitations,including lack of scalability,reliance on subjective user ratings or static profiles.A framework integrating Web usage mining and Web content mining has been proposed recently to overcome these problems.We added Web structure mining in this framework,named personalization based on Web mining,to provide better personalization services.This paper presented an improved framework for personalization based on Web mining,described effective techniques based on clustering to obtain a uniform representation for aggregate usage profile,content profile and structure profile,and showed how these profiles can be used to perform real-time personalization.
