Chemical modification on the surface of PVDF hollow fiber membranes

The surface of PVDF hollow fiber membranes was treated with the chemical modifica tion, the double bond, hydroxyl group and two kinds of sulfonic groups were grafted on the surface of membranes. The effects on membrane separating properties and the surface hydrophiling of several kinds of chemical modification at the surface were compared. The result shows that the hydrophilicing is greatly increased by the grafting sulfonic group onto the PVDF surface.
