Characteristic and regular patterns in exploration of drug targets abroad

With the completion of Human Genome Project,the discovery of gene function,and the achievement of various high-throughput screening methods,drug targets have become very important in R D of modern drugs.However,the number of innovated new drug targets have remained very small over the past years,only three to five per year.Knowledge of characteristics and regular pattern in exploration of drug targets will provide us valuable information for target selection.
