The performance of the network intrusion detection system based on expert system depends on the rules of the experts system.To improve the performance of the network intrusion detection system based on expert system,the genetic algorithms is applied to update the rules of experts system.But the basic genetic algorithm is not adapted to do that.The genetic algorithm is improved in coding,fitness function,crossover etc.A scheme is designed.
