An Ideal Model of Liquid Mixture for Thermal Conductivity and Its Application

Keqiang Wang · 2001

Based on the characteristics of liquid structure,a new method which can be used to calculate the thermal conductivity of liquid mixtures was developed by means of establishing an ideal model of liquid mixture. The results showed that the calculated values of thermal conductivity were in good agreement with the experimental data, and the mean deviation was 0.98% for 288 kinds of aqueous mixtures and non-aqueous mixtures, and had an advantage over the existing methods. An effective predicting method was also proposed which can be used to predict the thermal conductivity of liquids mixtures from the information of pure components, and the mean relative deviation were 1.69% for 288 kinds of aqueous mixtures and non-aqueous mixtures with 2060 data points.
