New Calculation Formula for Designing the Output Level of CATV Amplifier

In this article,we analyze the reason why traditional designing method for amplifier does not fit the application environment nowadays,and present the evolution of the calculation formula for the output level of CATV amplifier.Since the distortion parameter CTBa provided by the manufacturer might be inaccurate,and the calculated output level might also be inaccurate,we suggest that CTBa should be substituted with CTB104,and the distortion index should be calculated from original parameters.Based on this approach,we develop new formula for calculating the output level.
