LU Yan-ping · Sichuan dongwu · 2011
The taxidermy in China has been improved greatly in recent years. With learning the international modern technique and ourselves practices,we reformed the techniques on how to make a large bird's posture specimen, especially on how to deal with the skin, fill the prosthesis and install the artificial eyes.On treating the skin,we improved the flexibility and antisepticise by polishing, salted, degreasing and tanning steps. On prosthesis filling,we introduced the model technique that made the different part of prosthesis, and then packaging them together. We hope these techniques can provide some useful information to the people who work in this field.
