Study on IT Project Characteristics Identification and Project Classification Based on PCA Technology

For small and medium-sized software enterprises,it is a new topic to identify project characteristics,predict problems that may happen,implement targeted project management and monitoring when starting a project. Reducing dimension processing for project attributes by use of PCA technology,the multi-dimension space of project characteristics can be reduced to three-dimension. According to project's principal component index features and classification,the potential issues are analyzed and the key of project management and monitoring is given. It is proved that the analysis result using above method is compatible with practical project. The method can be used for earlier-stage risk assessment and problem detection,project management strategy research,and providing basis for project monitoring matrix model.
