Lucene,which is a Java - based open source code full - text search engine toolkit,can be convenientlyembedded into various application to realize the functions of the application- oriented full- text index /search. Utilizing theAPI of Lucene can provide conveniently the function of the full- text search for a website. This paper probes into how tobuild a universal full- text search tool of the Websites,and puts forward several problems needing attention in the course ofconstructingthe system.
