Deblocking Algorithm for Highly Compressed Images Based on Discrete Cosine Transform Domain

The block-based DCT compression technology often cause blocking artifacts near the block boundaries at high compression rate,serious harming the image's subjective quality.A new algorithm based on image restoration method is presented to reduce blocking artifacts,which firstly find the matching feature out according to already classified image features from the image database,then estimate the image noise and achieve the effect of reduce blocking artifacts.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective.
