Upper Bound for Throughput of Backbone Wireless Mesh Networks
Shengming Jiang · Science Technology and Engineering · 2006
The capacity of a large backbone wireless mesh network(WMN) is investigated. The effect of the bandwidth and number of access points and mesh routers on capacity are analyzed. A backbone WMN can be used as a broadband internet access, or an isolated system to provide communication between clients insides. The two cases through analysis methods are studied, and the upper bound for the per-router throughput of backbone WMNs are determined.
