Highly efficient recovery of main memory database from network memory

A proposal of logging to remote memory for main memory database systems is presented.After log records are written into remote memory,transactions could be committed,hence committing process is accelerated.Several techniques including log record filtering,parallel log writing,as well as log applying before checkpoint file writes are used to speedup log writing and reduce total recovery time.Experiment results show that the proposed scheme improves recovery efficiency and provides system availability during recovery.
