Modified Hough Transformation for Iris Location

A modified Hough Transformation algorithm is proposed for iris location in gray image.In iris location system,the outer boundary of a typical iris can approximately be taken as acircle,so the circles of iris can be obtained by using HT.Our algorithm uses point-pairs and gradient information to locate circles.A threshold is defined to ensure that the output is the outer contour of iris.Experiment results show that the modified algorithm can decrease algorithm complexity and locate iris accurately.
