Design of Fine Resolution and Frequency Agile Synthesizer

Frequency agile synthesis technology plays an important role in radar and electronic countermeasures equipment.Making use of DDS made it possible to realizing hop frequency with high speed and fine resolution.For frequency agile synthesis,each kind of basic method of raising and extending BW operation is expatiated,such as frequency multiplication and frequency mixing.Their advantages,disadvantages and feasibility are analyzed.Based on the required operation,a general designing method is given,and the details for attention in designing are explained.An analysis aimed at speciality of wide band synthesizer is given.At last,as an example,a detailed scheme of a frequency agile synthesizer is provided.
