Space-time coding technique is a new coding technique which can combat with channel attenuation, obtain diversity gain against fading and enhance the data rate and capacity。This paper introduces briefly the three typical Space-Time codes,i.e. Layered Space-Time codes, Trellis Space-Time codes and Space-Time Block codes, and compares their advantages and disadvantages, an emphasis is put on the progress of the studies on this field.
