Delay Time Analysis of a Switching Architecture Through Packet Reservation

This paper develops a method of packet conflict resolution to analyze random access channels. According to a new two - ary tree algorithms, making use of the generating function, a mathematical analysis has been developed in this paper. The mean delay time are explicitly obtained. The results of computer simulation are in concordance with the theoretical analysis.
