A New Fast Iris Localization Approach Based on Mathematics Morphology

Being a crucial step in the Iris Recognition process, Iris Localization is the main factor as well as bottleneck that affect the real-time of the whole system. The new approach uses the mathematics morphology and the erosion and dilation to get edge of iris, and further to localize the iris quickly. The findings of Experiments show that this approach possesses the advantages of speedy localizing and high accuracy. This approach is suited to the real-time system.
