The lightning protection device was the long-term hardware equipment in the lightning protection system,its service life will directly influence the function of lightning protection system.But in some practical projects,some hidden laying lightning protection devices were eroded seriously and even cracked rapidly during two years,it couldn't be used for long-term lightning protection.The reason that the lightning protection devices were eroded rapidly in two years were analyzed in detail.The solution was given as well.
