Study on Wedge Stemming Plug of Blast Holes

Aiming at the problems in stemming plug quality control,low blast hole utilization rate,shooting phenomenon and explosives misfire,theoretical analysis and experimental research were conducted,to analyze the stemming plug mechanism,the structure and length of the stemming plug was optimized,the effect was verified through pendulum impact experiments,effect of clay and wedge stemming plug were compared in industrial experiment,the results show that,with wedge stemming plug,single cycle footage increases by 10%,hole utilization increases by 10%,explosive payload reduces by 16.3%.
