Proposes a complete solution of using Intelligent and Cooperative Information Technology in the information retrieval in the light of the feature of Internet information source and the current statues of the information retrieval. This intelligent information retrieval system(IIRS) uses three kinds of intelligent agents which are user interface agent, information processing agent and information searching agent to realize a intelligent personal adaptive browser, the analysis and processing of the Web information(most are documents) and the search of information respectively. Analyzes the framework of IIRS and its essential working principle, also primarily discusses the realization of the system.
