In this paper,a Distributed version of Team Progress Algorithm(DTPA) is proposed for network optimization in ad-hoc networks. The algorithm saves its member information among related distributed nodes. It uses an initiator selected from matured members to generate a new member, then to broadcast the eliminated member information after the evaluation taken place at the new member's node. The DTPA is used to find the lowest processing load in an ad-hoc collaborative computing system. The simulation results show that the DTPA algorithm reduced the traffic overhead and convergence time of members in comparison to the PSO,and is valuable for similar optimization problems.
