Objective To assess the value of color Doppler sonography in the diagnosis of the thrombosis in artificial blood vessels. Methods Color Doppler sonography of 23 cases(28 artificial blood vessels) suspected with thrombosis in artificial blood vessels were observed including the echo of artificial blood vessels, presence or absence of blood stream, and Doppler spectral waveform. All the examination materials have been affirmed by operations. Results In the cases of thrombosis in artificial blood vessels, 11 blood vessels with stenosis,7 with remarkable stenosis and 10 with obstruction. Conclusion Color Doppler sonography may play a significant role in the monitoring of the thrombosis in artificial blood vessels.
