Mechanical Cutting Parameters Database Based on XML Web Services and Case-Based Reasoning

This paper discuss some issue of mechanical machining and cutting parameter database. In this paper, we try to propose a NC subsystem of mechanical machining and cutting parameter database based on XML Web Services and Case-Based Reasoning.This system has two functions, which are the amount collection and database access of cutting data. Correspondingly,the system is divided into two modules. One is the data acquisition module, which is collecting a certain amount of cutting data;the other is the access module of cutting database based on XML Web Services,which is to provide accessing service for plant and enterprise server.This paper presents the architecture and the key implement of the system, and then finally explores the future of the data acquisition subsystem based on the Browser / Server(B/S) mode.
