ArcIMS-based Water Resource Environment Management Information System

Shitoukoumen Reservoir is one of the main water resources of Changchun city.The protection of the water quality monitoring and management must be strengthened because of serious pollution.In this research,a WebGIS based on ArcIMS was developed to achieve the water quality monitoring and management on those distributed monitoring points.The system includes some basic functions such as map browsing,map inquiries and map spatial analysis,meanwhile with the ASP technology and Javascript language for ArcIMS second development,achieving water quality monitoring points dynamic update,water quality monitoring and warning visualization and dynamic simulation of water pollution.Through those key functions,learning information of the water quality monitoring points and assuring the management of those monitoring points,so as to provide decision-making for the relevant departments.
