Performance of GPRS Data Link for Automatic Vehicle Location System

In this paper,the Data Link of Automatic Vehicle Location System(AVLS) based on GPRS has been introduced and the key technology of accomplishing link is described according to the working flow of GPRS users.The GPRS based AVLS system model is given from both the voice and the data transmission.The relationship between the access delay and the voice traffic,data length,data transmission interval,system volume is analyzed through the simulation.It is concluded from the simulation result that for the AVLS with small voice traffic and short data length,GPRS can be used for the large-scale volume.
