Design and Emulation Analysis of Cross-layer Service Discovery Protocol

Service discovery is important for Ad Hoc network which have worse reliability and change frequently,since it is generally considered that it can discover terminal units,attain network services,but its overload and request delay are serious problem。So a ZRP-based cross-designed service discovery protocol was proposed. Particularly, ZRP is zone routing protocol combined proactive and reactive mode for Ad Hoc network. The new protocol integrates service discovery in the application layer into ZRP route mechanism in the network layer,using existent ZRP route traffic and BRP transmission mechanism to transmit service request and advertisement,and adding service join,query,select,delete and other new mechanism, so that it can save much network communication overhead. The simulation result shows that CZRP can greatly reduce network communication overhead and service request delay in mobile Ad Hoc network.
